How to Install a Push Button Switch on Your Car?


Installing a push button switch in your car involves the following steps:


Step 1:Locate a suitable location for the switch


The location should be easily accessible and visible to the driver or passengers, i.e., the dashboard or near the steering wheel. Visibility allows the driver to tell if the switch is on/off at a glance.

Additionally, the location should not interfere with the vehicle's safe operation, such as blocking the view of the road or impeding the driver's ability to reach the pedals.

Finally, the location of the switch should be chosen based on the function of the button; for example, if it is related to the lights, it should be closer to the lighting controls.

Step 2:Determine the proper wire connections for the switch.

Step: 3: Disconnect the battery

Step 4: Run the wires

Connect the ground wire to the "NC" terminal on the switch. This terminal completes the circuit and allows the button to operate. Connect the load wire to the "NO" terminal on the switch. This terminal is connected to the component that the switch will control, such as a light or motor.
